It just dawned on me that we have forgotten about a lot of future users of Kosmos Chat when setting up the Discourse with LDAP as a support site. And the same applies for the Gitea for that matter:
If someone just users Hyperchannel with their own accounts, or wants to report issues on our Gitea, they will need a Kosmos account in order to communicate on these platforms.
I’m not sure if it makes sense to create full, normal accounts for these users. But then again our plan is to rather limit additional features than pure signups anyway. I guess it’s mostly a UX question regarding the signup process for people not wanting to use Kosmos accounts as their main chat accounts, and they could still ask questions in XMPP support channels without any signup, of course.
